The Atlas Copco DML is a crawler mounted, hydraulic tophead drive, multi-pass rotary drilling rig specifically designed for production blasthole drilling to depths of 180 ft./54.9 m with a 30 ft./9.1 m drill pipe change. A 35 ft./10.7 m steel change is also available to handle single pass drilling requirements to 35 ft./10.7 m. The versatile DML can be configured as a high pressure drill for DHD drilling. The standard DML utilizes a diesel engine to drive the air compressor and hydraulic system. Operation of the drill is performed using electric over hydraulic controllers ergonomically located so that the operator faces the drill centralizer while drilling.

The DMLSP is a single pass drill that delivers depths of up to 60 ft. /18.3 m in a single pass without a drill change. The DHD can also perform DHD drilling with high pressure air compressor options. An angle drilling option is available. The standard DM-LSP uses a diesel engine to drive the air compressor and hydraulic system.
